Connect AI agents over MCP

A local stdio MCP server exposes the same tools to AI agents. Use the absolute path to your virtual environment.

  1. Claude Code

    Register the installed CLI.

    bash
    claude mcp add seohead -- /absolute/path/to/spiderhead/.venv/bin/seohead mcp
  2. Claude Desktop and other stdio clients

    Add the server to the client's MCP configuration.

    json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "seohead": {
          "command": "/absolute/path/to/spiderhead/.venv/bin/seohead",
          "args": ["mcp", "--profile", "full"]
        }
      }
    }
  3. Codex and Cursor

    seohead mcp install previews the change for claude-code, claude-desktop, codex or cursor; --dry-run writes nothing, and a backup is made before any write.

    bash
    seohead mcp install --client codex --dry-run
    seohead mcp install --client cursor --dry-run
  4. Profiles

    --profile full exposes every tool; audit, infra, quick-check and router expose smaller sets for focused sessions.

    bash
    seohead mcp --profile router
  5. Start from a project

    Projects keep scope, crawl policy, scans and history, so the next agent continues from the saved project instead of chat history.

    bash
    seohead project new --directory ./shop --target https://example.com/
