Backlink checker for known donors

Verify backlinks on donor pages you supply: is the link there, followed, and pointing where it should. It checks your list, not a web-scale index.

Backlink checker for known donors

Your list

backlinks-check reads the donor pages you give it.

How it works

Three steps, one saved scan

  1. Give it your donor list

Pass a target domain or URL and the donor pages you want to verify, from a list or a file. One run takes up to 500 donor URLs.

  2. Each donor page is read

SpiderHead requests every donor, follows redirects and reads its links to the target with their anchor text, rel values and robots directives.

  3. Get a result per donor

Each donor is marked found or missing, with a reason when a link does not pass weight, and the run ends with summary counts.

How to run it

One command

bash
seohead backlinks-check --target example.com --donors-file ./donors.txt

Install first: installation guide. Every command also runs as an MCP tool for AI agents.

Questions

Backlink checker for known donors

A link counts as followed when its rel does not include nofollow, ugc or sponsored, and the donor page has no page-level nofollow directive.
The donor page has a noindex directive in its meta robots tag or in the X-Robots-Tag header. The link is still found, but search engines are told not to index the page.
