FAQPage structured data describes visible, publisher-authored questions and answers in a machine-readable format; it does not guarantee a rich result.
FAQPage markup represents a set of questions and answers the publisher controls and displays. It is not suitable for forums, user-submitted answers or invisible keyword containers. The graph must faithfully represent the visible FAQ.
Practical implementation
Improve questions and answers for readers first, then model each visible pair as Question and acceptedAnswer in JSON-LD. Validate syntax and required properties, then compare every marked-up answer with the rendered page. Google restricted FAQ rich-result visibility in 2023, so use it for accurate data, not a promised treatment.
What to verify
Check the rendered FAQ on mobile and desktop, inspect final HTML for JSON-LD, and run a structured-data validator. Recheck after CMS or template changes because accordion behaviour can leave markup and copy out of sync.
Common mistakes
Do not add FAQPage markup simply because it can be generated. Empty, duplicate or promotional questions weaken the page even if JSON parses.
